burnt weekend (part 1)

last weekend was burnt....but it was really worth it...haha...it was quite an experience going to the range...but...i cant say so much..dun wanna get charged for revealing to much...haha...the first day was a bit of a shock for me...when i saw live ammunition i was reallyyyyyyyyyy frightened...so we got off the tonner and i was appointed to load the live rounds into the magazine...the magazine box was really heavey too...much heavier than i expected it to be...and so began my day of loading nothing but amuuntions...after loading like a thousand rounds, i finally got my well deserved break...so i borrowed my friend's psp and started playing need for speed...then there was this noise at the back of me like someone trying to imitate a car passing by...it went on for a while and i was quite irritated...i turned around and wanted to tell that person to shut up thinking that it was one of the auxiliary staff...i turned around...and realised it was my OC!!! i was THAT close to telling him to shut up...HAHA that was close...the people there were really nice...sergeant and officers buying drinks and crackers for us!!! and they kept asking us if we needed breaks!! night firing was really cool.. but by then, my thumbs were already hurting from loading rounds non-stop...tracer rounds at night was really beautiful...but i was too busy to admire it...when the shooting was over we had to clear up the place and make sure everything was accounted for..then we loaded the essentials and put the rubbish in the tonner...imagine sitting in tonner with one day's worth of rubbish for a hundred over people...so we went back to camp to prepare for next day's work...

Today Dulan

okok...its been a while since i've blogged...correction..its been a long while since i blogged...haha...ns life is good life for me...haha..'ve been oot since like the second week of enlistment...haha...and been slacking a bit from then...ok..A LOT of slacking...'ve been posted to OETI...where i will be taking my technical handling course...haha...i'd better not say too much...don't want to be charged for nothing...anyway today wasnt a good day...got knocked down in the morning, plus we were told that our attire wasnt up to standard so we would be dismissed 1 hour late...but luckily our sir was nice and let us off at the usual time...thought that i could make it in time for mass now that i was released at the usual time...and everything seemed fine until i was at clarke quay...stupid train stopped...and again at 2 more stations...sianz...and the stupid bus also took forever to come...haha...after that was super dulan alrdy...spoil my whole day...not that there was a lot left to the day...oh wells...army sucks away the better part of the day...leaving just a few hours at home...and the transport is killing me...i mean...who on earth would have a job that spends a quarter of his salary going to work?!...ridiculous man...minus away the food that i eat...i'll be lucky to have 300 bucks a month...that works out to be 10 dollars a day...since i'm working from 730-530, thats 10 hrs...means my wage is one dollar an hour!!!...wow!!!feel so cheated...anyway..going to play game now..haha..hopefully i'll blog more since i can come home everyday..haha..thats what i always say though..

D-day is coming

waaakaooo 6th of march is coming...super scared of the results...i wished it wont have to come out!!!haiz...i have to face it sooner or later anyway... 've been really busy these few weeks coz of sow (school of witness)...its been a really great experience so far and i've really learnt a lot from it...quite sad that its going to end this week..but well as they said all good things come to an end...i've got a super super super long week ahead and i think i am going to be really tired...i have to get the motivation to start my daily runs...well...actually i have already started my daily runs...just that i've only done it once and it was about 1 month ago...hahaha..oh wells, tmw i got sow and have to TRY to run in the morning. i'm off now...ciao

stupid fishball

cny has been quite ok for me...the angbaos and all the food...but there was one particular incident that kinda screwed it up for me...and it was all because of one stupid friggin fishball...it was those kind that has meat feelings and a bit of juice in it...i was at my uncle's place for steamboat lunch...i happily placed my favorite fishball (it was still my favorite then) in the pot...took it out and thought it was cool enuf to eat...i still bit the fisball with lots of caution biting only the tip of it...apparently that particular ball had lots and lots of juice in it...and a fine jet of superheated juice shot out of the fishball on top my lips and chin and hand...shocked and in pain...i continued eating but didnt expect it to be such a bad scald...it was quite red and there started to be a stinging sensation...next day i woke up...the burnt area started to hurt...i scratched it and saw some brownish stuff on my nails...looked into the mirror and realised that was my skin!!!...then skinless part of my chin was so friggin red...and its really irritating my ass off even as i type this post...feel like just scratching my wound out of my chin...of course then i'll just have another wound...so i'll just leave it alone and mind my own business...just wish that pesky little scum will leave me alone soon...hahha...tmw have relatives coming over for lunch...but also have gathering at friend's house...bleah...haha...and monday i'll become a farmer!! i'm going to sow...haha..ok that was cold...going for a one week stay over with my bloody (literally) wound...come back for one day and then its another week stay over...lolz...no DotA for 2 weeks!!! whoaa...hope i dun get withdrawal symptoms...oh wells...will try to blog during my one day break...provided i am not to engrossed with DotA when i reach home..haha...ciao :D

back from retreat!!

just came back from retreat few hours ago...retreat was ok la...but wasn't as good as i wanted it to be...lol...dunno y...but i know i shouldnt have expectations...anyway...i didnt njoy myself as much as the cornerstone retreat...it was at the major seminary...getting there by iteself was already a feat in itself...the seminary was in the middle of a jungle at some ulu place...didnt even have signs to guide us there...and only one bus service that drops u 500m away from the seminary before taking dunno how many turns...it was at 17th avenue but we ended up in the 24th avenue...lol..and bus fare is ferakin expensive now...one day i can spend like 4bucks on transport alone...like wth man...the room we got was really really dirty...had shit all over it man...lizard shit cockroach shit...u name it u have it...that night was shit too...itching all over and the aircon was blowing directly at me...cldnt sleep....the blanket was so thin too..if not for my sweater...i'll be frozen la...next night also cldnt sleep early coz had to practice for mass the next day...haha..it was really freaky at night man...haha..anyway...came back home really tired..but still dota anyway...haha....looking forward to badminton tmw..and friday and saturday...haha...and hopefully i can go out on wed :)

New Year

its the new year!! happy new year everyone...haha...lol so random...the new year has been ok so far...not like there were many days to comment about...hahaha...my stupid internet explorer is still down...but lucky i downloaded mozilla...which i mistaken as 'Godzilla' when asking my friends about it...hahhaha...com noob la..wad to do?? played badminton with stoners on friday...quite fun...dunno why so much energy...played match after match...after 3 hrs..the only thing that stopped me was my cramp...lol...took a 10min break and continued..lol...didnt eat lunch until 4+..omg...was starving man...watched ip man after that...whoa....damn nice movie sia....the fighting damn cool...haha...quite boring at home...lol...everyday dota and ff12...sat had an army talk in church...quite cool...haha...later going to play badminton with again..haha...whoa..so many ppl enlisting this week...sian...less ppl to go out with...going to sleep liao...got to wake up early later...chiao!

Turkey

erm...i think its about time i wrote something...haha...its been really really really dead for a long long long time....haha.....about half a year if i am not wrong...just got back from turkey today...still friggin jet-lag...turkey is 6 hrs behind and my body clock is screwed...didnt even sleep on my way back to sg...watching movies...lol..anyway..turkey is a nice place...it was better and more developed than i thought it was...landed in istanbul in the morning of 4th if i am not wrong...then went to some mosque and palace and a bazzar before heading to the hotel which was like in the middle of nowhere...but at least they had internet there...infact almost all the hotels there has free internet which was a pleasent surprise so i could chat with ppl...and i think that salt and sugar there is like free coz the food is either too salty or too sweet but for some reason the soup is pratically tasteless...and coz its made from beans your rear end makes lots of noise at night...the hotel was quite crap apart from the fact that it looked nice from the outside...woke up the next day and had breakfirst which i didnt know what half the things there were...but lucky there were eggs and cornflakes...thats was basically my breakfast for the next 7 days...the weather was quite cold then...throughout the whole trip the temperature did not go above 15 celsius..and there would be smoke coming out from my mouth everytime...so cool...so anyway we boarded the bus to some region called cappadocia or if that is how its spelled...the bus journies were really long...and that one took like 3-4 hrs before we reached our lunch place...the food there is quite hard to swallow if u hate meat with a very meaty flavour to it...i could still stomach most of the beef there but my mum couldnt..so she had to eat chicken..lol..went to see some ancient city ancient underground city...it was quite cool actually...but the underground city was really claustrophobic...then there were rock formations and churches carved in mountains..one of the most impressive place was a 5th century church that was converted into a mosque..it was really really grand...the top of the church was at least 100+ meters high...and they had a mix of christian and islamic stuff in it...the tour people were a nice bunch of people too..lol...tired now...shall blog more about it tmw...
